PSA thermal mastic used for converted tapes or laminations.
This family of hot melt materials is designed for use as very aggressive tack lower cohesive strength pressure-sensitive adhesives. It has a very high “quick-stick” and tack properties, but only fair shear strength. It has very good environmental stability and moderate peel strength. It is ideal for use in many environments where a system is needed for difficult to adhere substrates especially in construction applications. It can be used as a backing for tapes, foams including Styrofoam and various materials where a pressure sensitive nature is needed. The viscosity is designed to allow it to be applied via foam melt, spray, or swirl-spray.

This product is a replacement for moisture-cure polyurethanes, which are commonly known as PURs. It eliminates many of the problems associated with such competitive products and can be applied with the same pumps, laminating rollers, roll coaters, and hot melt equipment.

This material was created for use as a glass bedding compound and perimeter seal for styrene base door lites. It can correctly be called a sealant gasket because it combines the rubber characteristics of cured rubber with the adhesive characteristics of mastic sealants.
