Fort Worth, TX January 5, 2012 – Edge Adhesives, a Fort Worth based manufacturer of specialty materials, announced today the acquisition of PARR Technologies, Inc. The transaction was completed with Edge Adhesives’ capital partner, Superior Capital Partners LLC , a Detroit-based private equity firm. The transaction follows the acquisition of Columbus-based Rubex Inc by Edge Adhesives in May 2011.
Located in Elkhart, Indiana, PARR Technologies is a manufacturer of butyl tapes, sealants, and coatings that are sold to the sound dampening, electrical, appliance, window & door, composite, and RV markets. The PARR transaction brings to Edge complementary product lines and manufacturing capacity, a diverse customer base and an experienced sales team.

The transaction was completed with Edge Adhesives capital partner, Superior Capital Partners LLC, a Detroit-based private equity firm. Edge Adhesives acquired Rubex from Chemence Inc, a diversified chemicals company with operations in the United States and United Kingdom.
Based in Columbus, Ohio, Rubex is a manufacturer of engineered butyl mastics, converted tapes and sealants that are used in electrical, automotive, construction, and industrial applications. The Rubex acquisition expands Edge’s end markets, manufacturing capacity and portfolio of high performance adhesives and sealants.
Edge Adhesives also recently named Dave Burger as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Dave is a 25-year veteran of the adhesives and sealants industry and former Board Chair of the Adhesives & Sealants Council. Dave noted, “I am extremely excited to lead Edge Adhesives and Rubex.
